Alcantarea - The largest of the commercially grown bromeliads these giants can take up to 15 years to develop fully and bloom. The inflorescence typically reaches over 10 feet high.
Most Alcantareas can withstand both extremes of bright sun and cold temperatures very well.
Androlepis - Androlepis, the Lone Ranger of the Bromeliad Family. There is only one Species in this Genus, Skinneri. Big and bold, makes a statement wherever it's planted.
Aechmea - Aechmeas are characterized by their long lasting vertical inflorescences (blooms) and have a broad range of shapes and colors ranging from soft greens and reds to spiky purples and blacks.
Billbergia - Billbergias are known for their always beautiful but usually short lasting blooms. Many collectors buy Billbergias because they like their tubular growing style and interesting spotting on the foliage.
